In 1993 when John vanDoorn and Keith Klitzke formed Boston Creek Transport Ltd., they had already been working side by side for some time. They took the combined 32 years of experience they had; John with refrigerated transportation and produce distribution, and Keith with transportation, produce and farming, backgrounds, and applied that experience in Boston Creek Transport.

Since its inception, for almost 17 years, Boston Creek Transport have proudly maintained the same standard of guaranteed delivery; LTL or Truckload, dry or temperature controlled service to their valued customers primarily between Southern Ontario and the Eastern United States.

During their tenure, Boston Creek Transport has grown and expanded to provide better and more efficient services. In 1995 they purchased property outside of Hagersville, Ontario to facilitate a terminal for their base of operations, centrally located to efficiently serve the markets within a 60 mile radius, including; Brantford, Cambridge, Kitchener, Toronto, Simcoe, and the Niagara Region. In 1997 they completed the construction of a 1,600 square foot cross dock, complete with washroom and shower facilities for their drivers. In 2000 the 4,000 square foot maintenance garage was added to perform the timely preventative maintenance and repair to ensure that the equipment keeps rolling, trouble free. 2003, 2005 and 2009 all saw incremental expansions to the property, through purchases of adjoining parcels, as they came available. The terminal now encompasses a total of 13 acres.

In 2007 John and Keith purchased Tradewind Carriers Inc., located in Leamington, Ontario. Tradewind Carriers brings with it an exemplary record of on time LTL and truckload deliveries of temperature controlled and dry freight service between Southern Ontario and the Eastern and Southern United States. Tradewind Carriers also operates a 10,000 square foot cross dock and warehouse at its terminal. The 2 operations integrate well and the complimentary service provides the combined customers with the timely and efficient service that they have come to expect.

In 2009 Boston Creek Transport diversified by purchasing some specialized, bulk hopper, equipment to service the North American rubber industry.
